Richmond is the county seat of Fort Bend County, incorporated in 1837. Several nearby communities, including Aliana, Pecan Grove, Grand Mission and Harvest Green, have Richmond addresses but sit outside city limits.
City and county rules
The City of Richmond's unified development code has a section titled Fence Permit, which confirms a permit process exists inside the city. We could not read its contents, so we do not list rules. The Building Department is at 600 Morton St, phone 281-232-6871.
Outside city limits, Fort Bend County Engineering (281-342-3411) handles unincorporated permits, and its public list does not mention residential fences.
