City and county rules

The city's residential builder packet lists fencing over 7 feet high as a permit item, which suggests lower fences may not need one. We treat that as an inference and recommend you confirm with the city. The same packet says contractors must be registered with the city and carry $500,000 in general liability insurance. About this area

Rosenberg grew up around a railroad junction platted in 1883 and was incorporated in 1902, with a historic downtown on Avenue G.
